Santaso (W/R), Nov 27, GNA-Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle, has made a donation of 10 motorbikes valued at GHc167,000.00 to the Ellembelle District Health Directorate.
The donation formed part of measures to take medical outreach services to the hard-to-reach areas in the Northern part of the district.
Mr Kofi Buah, who is seeking re-election in next week’s Parliamentary election, made the donation during the commissioning of an ultra-modern CHPS Compound at Santaso in the Aiyinasi North.
The MP said the gesture would afford the medical outreach team the opportunity to navigate every nook and cranny of the area.
Mr Kofi Buah assured the people of building a new CHPS Compound at Amanokrom in due course and to complete ongoing construction works on the Fiasolo CHPS Compound.
He promised to do all in his power to provide health infrastructure and medical facilities to meet the healthcare needs of the people.
Meanwhile, the MP donated GHc65,000.00 for repair works on the broken-down Ambulance.
The Ellembelle District Director of Health Services, Dr Augustine Kwesi Amoako lauded Mr Kofi Buah for the numerous interventions in the health sector.
He said the health directorate would foster closer collaboration with the office of the MP to achieve universal health standards by 2030.
