Accra, Nov. 15, GNA – The Electoral Commission (EC) on Thursday commenced the distribution of ballot papers to the various regions ahead of the 2024 General Election.
In a letter signed by Mr Samuel Tettey, Deputy Chairperson of the EC in Charge of Operations, and addressed to the general secretaries of all political parties, the Commission said the distribution of ballot papers to the Greater Accra Region commenced Thursday noon.
The ballot papers for the Central, Western, Savannah, and Upper West regions would be transported on Friday, November 15, 2024.
It would be followed by that of the Ashanti, Ahafo, and Western North regions on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
On Sunday, November 17, 2024, the Commission will dispatch the ballot papers for the Eastern, Upper East, and North East regions, followed by those for the Northern, Bono East, and Bono regions on Monday, November 18, 2020.
The ballot papers for the Volta and Oti regions will be the last to be dispatched on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
Eligible voters in Ghana will head to the polls on December 7, 2024, to elect a president and 276 Members of Parliament.
According to the summaries of the Certified Voters’ Register published by the Electoral Commission, there are a total of 18,640,811 registered voters.
