Sunyani, Nov. 4, GNA – Mr Mustapha Omar Copson, the Deputy Bono Regional Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has reaffirmed the party’s readiness to protect the ballot in the December 7 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.

He therefore urged the party’s polling stations agents to remain courageous and well-focused at the various voting centres, as they observed in diligence, the voting and counting processes at the centres.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani on Monday, Mr Copson said the “NDC is ever prepared to protect the ballot, and we will not be intimidated by the unguarded utterances from some quarters.”

“In fact, we would not continue to be victims of peace,” he stated.

He, however, advised the party followers to continue to propagate and sensitize the masses on the content of NDC’s Election 2024 political party manifesto.

Mr Copson also called on the party to intensify the electioneering for the electorates to well understand the proposed implementation of the 24-hour economy and the establishment of the Women’s bank in particular.

Those economic policies of the party, he explained, held the key for job creation and poverty reduction, saying, though many Ghanaians were aware of the NDC manifesto, the party ought to do more and educate them on the content of the manifesto.

That, Mr Copson added, would make the electorates more enlightened to make informed decisions and vote for the NDC when they go to the polls on December 7.

Mr Copson said the NDC cherished peace and would do everything possible to ensure that election 2024 was conducted in an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity, however, “we will stand against attempts to dirty the integrity of the electoral process.”
