Akumadan (Ash), Nov. 22, GNA – Rev. Dr. Isaac Asiedu Yeboah, Akumadan Branch Pastor of the Living Christ Foundation Church, has asked his fellow religious leaders, to allow the Ghanaian electorate to decide who becomes the next president.
He said, typical of every election year, some Men of God make the headlines with prophetic pronouncements on who is chosen by God to lead the nation.
“Let me advise our prophets, pastors, evangelists, and all other religious leaders, to leave the choice of leaders for the country, to the electorate, who would decide by majority votes, come December 7,” he stated.
Rev. Dr. Asiedu Yeboah made the remark in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Akumadan in the Ashanti Region.
He said such speculations could create divisions, anger and rancour, which have the tendency to disturb the peace of the nation.
“My church celebrated its 10th anniversary recently, and could we have survived all these years, and still counting, in a chaotic environment?” he quizzed.
He said no human endeavour or activity could thrive in a chaotic environment, stating that both the New Patriotic Party, National Democratic Congress, and Ghanaians in general, needed peace to coexist.
The Branch Pastor urged Ghanaians, especially, Christians, to pray fervently to the Almighty God, to help the electorate to choose the right leaders who could turn things around, for the good of the nation and its people.
