Tamale, Nov 30, GNA – The Centre for National Culture has organised a drama in Tamale to educate and inspire members of the public on peaceful elections.

It was dubbed: “Theatre for Peaceful Elections 2024”.

Mr Abubakari Iddisu Saeed, Northern Regional Director, Centre for National Culture, speaking during the event, said it was a call for action for violence-free elections.

He added that the drama was to address some of the critical challenges facing the country’s democracy such as electoral violence, the spread of fake news, vote buying and the need for religious tolerance.

He called on the citizenry to be united during and after the general election to promote free and fair elections.

He said, “Let us embrace tolerance, diversity and integrity, and it should be the responsibility of every Ghanaian to create a brighter and peaceful future.”
