Ajumako (C/R), Nov. 07, GNA – A young man in his late 30s has been tragically crashed to death by rubbles while demolishing a building at Kyebi in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District of the Central Region.
Kofi Paintsil, popularly known as Big Man, met his untimely demise around 05:50 hours on Friday.
He died on the spot when the rubbles from the collapsing building fell and crashed his head open, leaving him in a pool of blood.
The incident has left the entire community in shock and in a state of mourning.
Big Man and his brothers were pulling down the building at their family house as part of renovations in preparation for the funeral of their grandmother.
Information gathered by the Ghana News Agency (GNA) indicates that a sister of the deceased who was looking on as they worked sensed danger and warned him to reposition himself for safety.
He, however, took the caution lightly, retorting that he was not within reach of the rubbles.
Before long, the building went down in his direction and to escape, he tripped and fell before he was crashed by the rubbles.
The body has been deposited at the morgue whilst the Ajumako District Police had commenced investigations into the incident.
