Bosomadwe gets state-of- the-art classrooms, washroom

Assin Bosomdwe (C/R), Nov.21, GNA – Rev John Ntim Fordjour, Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin South Constituency, has commissioned a-state-of- the-art, three-unit classroom block with six-seater disability friendly toilet at Assin Bosomdwe to enhance teaching and learning.

He was assisted by Ms Felicia Ntrikwah Amissah, District Chief Executive (DCE), to hand over the project to the District Education Office.

According to the DCE, the initiative formed part of government’s broader commitment to ensure that every child irrespective of their location or circumstances, could have access to a conducive and decent learning environment that stimulates improved learning outcomes.

She noted that the commissioning was part of a nationwide rollout of over 80 educational infrastructures of which the district obtained six.

Ms Amissah pointed out that the project represented a bridge, connecting rural and urban opportunities, a foundation for innovation and a platform for nurturing dreams.

In that vein, she acknowledged that the classroom experience, boosts teacher morale and re-affirm government’s transformed socio-economic fortunes through education.

The project aligns with the Sustainable Development Goal four, which seeks to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all.

Rev Ntim Fordjour, who is also the Deputy Minister of Education, said the Assin enclave had benefitted a lot from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, with the provision of buses, pickup vehicles, laboratory equipment, library, furniture and many more.

It was incumbent on the people to realise the transformation of education in the constituency and continue to support the government and retain him as the MP for more projects, he said.

He told the gathering that his doors were opened for students who needed scholarship to further their education to the tertiary level devoid of politics.

The MP appealed to the administration of the school to maintain the school periodically.

Mr Ransford Appiah, the District Director of Education, was grateful to the MP and DCE for improving educational infrastructure in the district to enhance teaching and learning.

He admonished teachers and pupils to take very good care of the facility.

Master Philip Arhin, a pupil of Bosomdwe Catholic Basic School, said the sound environment would boost his morale to study and encourage those not in school to attend school to secure their future.
