Dambai (O/R) Nov 8, GNA-Dozens of enthusiastic farmers across Krachi East Municipality in the Oti Region have gathered at Dambai Lapaz Park to showcase their impressive array of crops and foodstuffs at the National Farmers Day celebration.

The Ghana News Agency (GNA) have sighted agricultural exhibitions, where farmers have displayed their diverse produce, including staple crops such as cassava, plantain, banana, soya, potato, yam, maize, rice, and tomatoes as well as livestock and aquatic products.

At the exhibition centre, GNA witnessed innovative value-added products such as processed cassava flour, palm oil and smoked fish.

This year’s celebration is a culmination of efforts to recognize and reward the hard work and dedication of farmers in the Municipality.

Some food vendors and other entrepreneurs setting up shop at the durbar ground are driven by a simple yet essential goal to make their daily bread, which is more than a business venture.

The 40th National Farmers Day will showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Nchumuru people, with a thrilling performance of the traditional “Baya” dance at Dambai junction.
