The aim was to promote and foster peace and unity before, during, and after the December polls.

“This is to foster peace and unity before, during, and after the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections, and to offer the Parliamentary candidates the opportunity to interact with the electorates.”
The walk, expected to parade the three Parliamentary candidates for Akatsi South, which is slated for Wednesday, November 27, would commence from the Akatsi RC Park through to the principal streets of Akatsi and back to the RC park for closure.
The three candidates vying for the seat in Akatsi South involve, Lawyer Bernard Ahiafor, the incumbent NDC Member of Parliament, Mr Mawuli Ocloo Egos, the New Patriotic Party’s candidate, and Mr Donald Brown Dzamesi, who is representing the Progressive Alliance for Ghana (PAG).
The various political parties have since expressed their readiness to cooperate with the Committee’s activities for a successful poll in December.
Ghanaians would go to the polls on December 7 to elect a Presidential candidate and their various Parliamentary candidates to represent them in Parliament for the next four years.
