Kasseh, Nov. 01, GNA – Ms. Dornukie Naa Norteye, the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate for the Ada Constituency, has reiterated her commitment to ensure that Ada receives the needed development.
Ms. Nortey told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview that Ada should have developed more than it is currently.
Expounding on her slogan, “Ada Deserves Better,” she indicated that it is not an empty slogan but rather the revelation of her passion to bring development to Ada to ensure that at least everybody lives in some comfort.
She noted that, as a native of Ada, she knows the terrain very well, hence her call for change in the constituency’s representation in parliament.
According to her, she reshaped and put gravel on some of the deplorable roads in the constituency, which needed immediate attention to ease the stress people go through when commuting on them.
She also lauded the government’s District Road Infrastructure Project (DRIP) initiative, as it is also helping to address the road infrastructural challenge of the area.
She further added that one of her priorities would be to get resources to improve school infrastructure in the area to address the appalling circumstances children study in.
The NPP parliamentary candidate disclosed that she started embarking on social projects before making the decision to contest for the parliamentary slot, an indication of her commitment to the area.
She added that she was encouraged by some leaders and members of the constituency to take up the mantle as a parliamentarian to foster development in the constituency due to how she was embarking on developmental projects for the people.
She added that the constituency has a high youth population, noting that the future belongs to the youth; therefore, they must rally behind her as one of them and consider her development-orientated personality to vote for her to turn the fortunes of Ada.
She further appealed to all electorates of Ada to vote for Dr Mahamadu Bawumia and herself, respectively, as the president and Member of Parliament, on December 7 to ensure that Ada gets the betterment it deserves.
