Wisconsin’s Dr. Fynn’s legacy honored with lifetime achievement award at Ghana Business Awards

Accra, Oct. 30, GNA – Dr. Paul Kofi Fynn, Chancellor and Founder of Wisconsin International University College Ghana, has been honoured with the distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 Ghana Business Awards.

In a media release copied to the Ghana News Agency, it said the accolade celebrated Dr. Fynn’s visionary leadership, groundbreaking contributions to education, and enduring impact on economic growth in Ghana and the West African region.

The release said Dr. Fynn’s award underscored his pioneering efforts in establishing Wisconsin International University College Ghana, a premier institution with campuses in Accra and Kumasi that has, over the past two decades, empowered graduates from more than 40 African countries.

These alumni, according to tthe release,  have gone on to make significant contributions across various sectors in their home countries, strengthening his legacy as a leader in education.

 In terms of his educational contributions, Dr. Fynn has played a vital role in Ghana’s economic development, it added

“Through his diverse business ventures in farming, real estate, and hospitality, he has generated numerous employment opportunities for Ghana’s youth, showcasing his commitment to the country’s growth.”

The release noted that the Lifetime Achievement Award added to Dr. Fynn’s extensive list of accolades, further solidifying his reputation as an influential figure in both education and business.

“His recognition at the Ghana Business Awards highlights his dedication to advancing Ghana’s economic and social landscape,” it added.

The Ghana Business Awards, held annually, recognises businesses and leaders who drive progress in their industries, demonstrating excellence in sustainability, innovation, and operational effectiveness.

The awards bring together industry leaders and international companies committed to strengthening the business environment in Ghana.
