Kadjebi (O/R), Oct. 29, GNA – Mr George Opare-Addo, the National Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has appealed to electorates in the Akan Constituency in Oti Region, to vote for Mr John Dramani Mahama, the NDC Flagbearer for the implementation of the Formula 1,2,3 and 24-Hour Economy policy.
This would help create more jobs for the teaming unemployed youth in the country.
He also urged the electorates to renew the mandate of Mr Yao Gomado, the MP for Akan, to enable him to complete his unfinished business for the area.
Mr Opare-Addo made this appeal while addressing NDC supporters and sympathisers after a Health Walk in Kadjebi.
Addressing the participants after the walk, Mr Gomado, said he was encouraged by the huge turnout for the event and pleaded for their vote and for Mr John Dramani Mahama as President in the December 7 polls.
Mr Eric Kwadwo Apeadu, the Akan NDC Constituency Chairman, said they were united, but not divided as peddled by their opponents.
He said the campaign to retain the Akan seat for the NDC had commenced and urged the supporters and sympathisers to engage in house-to-house campaign to secure a resounding victory.
During the 2020 December 7 polls, Mr Gomado, a Marine Engineer secured 19,317 votes, representing 58.69 per cent to win the Seat for NDC as against 13,300 votes, representing 40.41 per cent garnered by Alhaji Rashid Bawa, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Candidate.
Present were Mr John Kwadwo Gyapong, the NDC Oti Regional Chairman, Mr Gabriel Kwame Lemboe, Oti Regional Secretary, and Mr Seth Alifui, a former District Chief Executive for Kadjebi, among others.
