Takoradi (W/R), Oct 16, GNA – The United Cadres Front of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on the Electoral Commission to rectify anomalies with the electoral process to guarantee a credible election in December.

They said though the Electoral Commission had expressed its resolve and willingness to rectify the anomalies and issues with numerous discrepancies in the provisional voter register, the NDC must remain vigilant to avoid rigging of the polls.

Leader of the NDC Cadres Front in the Western Region, Comrade Beatrice Sam, said this at the Regional Conference of the United Cadres Front in Takoradi.

It was on the theme “Forging Ahead in Unity Towards Victory 2024 and Beyond”.

Comrade Sam said, “while the NDC as a party will not be complacent, we wish to advise the Electoral Commission not to make any attempt overtly or covertly to subvert the will of the people”.

Comrade Sam said any such acts would create problems with untoward consequences for the country.

“Election 2024 is crucial to the political, social and economic development of our country”.

“We therefore have a moral and inescapable obligation to adopt systematic and practical measures to kick out this inefficient government from office”, she said.

Madam Sam reminded NDC party faithful that as men and women of integrity, known for their organizational skills and abilities, they should move to their Constituencies and mobilize the broad- mass of the people into positive action.

That, she noted, would enable the party to deliver a crushing political blow to their opponents in December.

Comrade Sam reminded the Cadres Front to put their mental, physical and moral strength together in their resolve and determination to forge ahead in unity, harmony, co-operation to guarantee an electoral victory for the party.

The Western Regional Organizing Assistant of the CDR, Master Sergeant Issah Salifu who traced the history of the June 4 Uprising and the 31st of December Revolution, reminded the cadre front of the NDC for their organizational acumen, which catapulted the party into victory in 1992,1996,2008 and 2012.

He therefore   urged cadres to redouble their efforts to campaign vigorously for victory 2024.

The National Coordinator of the United Cadres Front, Comrade Shine Gaveh appealed to members to move all out to iron out differences of members within the NDC party and forge ahead in unity to contribute meaningfully towards electoral victory in December 2024.
