Paramount Chief of Sefwi Wiawso declares support for Dr Bawumia

Sefwi Wiawso (WN/R), Oct.3, GNA- The Paramount Chief of Sefwi-Wiawso Traditional Area in the Western North Region, Katakyi Kwasi Bumangama ll, has declared his support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 elections  

He has subsequently predicted a resounding victory for its flagbearer, Dr Muhammadu Bawumia in the December polls.  

During a courtesy to his Palace by Dr. Bawumia, as part of his three-day tour of the region, Katakyi Bumangama ll, could not hide his political colour as he declared: 

“I want to assure you that I’m still your father and you can always depend on Sefwi-Wiawso Traditional Council for overwhelming victory come December 7.” 

Katakyi urged all his divisional chiefs, queen mothers and NPP supporters to vote massively for the Party in the polls. 

“I urge each and every one that you should go out there in your numbers on December 7 and vote for Festus Bumagama Agyeapong who is my biological son as Member of Parliament (MP) for Sefwi-Wiawso Constituency and Dr Muhammadu Bawumia as the next President.” 

He commended Dr Bawumia for a decent campaign and praised the NPP government for the creation of the Western North region, which had brought total infrastructural development to Sefwi land.  

Katakyi Bumagama later appealed to Dr Bawumia to provide security services within the region as well as accommodation to aid in their stay in the newly created region so as to protect life and properties in the area. 

Dr Bawumia was thankful to the Traditional Council for the massive show of support and the assurance that they would vote massively for him.  

He mentioned the introduction of the Free Senior High School policy, one constituency, one ambulance, restoration of teacher trainees and nurses allowance, creation of six new regions, Ghana Card, Agenda 111, Cocoa Pollination, construction of Astro turfs, District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) as some of the promises made to Ghanaians eight years ago and they have been delivered.  

He announced that the next NPP government under his leadership would introduce a Credit Score System, Loans for Women’s Empowerment, and Free Tertiary Education for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).  

He assured Ghanaians of a 50 per cent reduction in utility bills and an additional 2000 megawatts of solar energy to complement the current power.  

He urged the people of the region to vote for him as the next President and Mr Bumagamah Agyeapong as MP for Sefwi Wiawso Constituency to help develop Ghana.
