Sunyani, Oct. 15, GNA – Mr Eugene Odoi Addo, the Sunyani Area Manager of the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) has appealed to the public to help the company to stem illegal power connections.
The public could do that by reporting illegal connections to the company, he stated, saying the practice impeded the operations of NEDCo.
Mr Addo made the appeal when speaking at a customer engagement meeting to mark the Customer Service Day (CSD) celebration of the company in Sunyani.
The Sunyani Area in collaboration with the NEDCo Ladies organised the CSD on the theme “NEDCo, your service, your source of reliable power supply”.
It was aimed at creating a common platform for NEDCO and its customers to deliberate on and find solutions to emerging issues on its services.
Mr Addo also urged the customers and clients to capitalise on the company’s digital platform and channel their grievances in accessing services its services for redress.
He said the NEDCo’s QR Code service online was developed to make the company’s services easily accessible and advised the customers to download and use the forms.
“Many customers often face challenges in accessing the service forms and that prompted the company to make them available online.
“With the online service all complaints would be addressed promptly and to enhance customer satisfaction”, Mr Addo stated, and called on the customers to pay their bills promptly, saying it not the pleasure of the NEDCo to always disconnect customers.
Some of the customers who shared their experiences in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) commended NEDCo for the engagement and urged the company to sustain it.
