Kadjebi (O/R), Oct. 3, GNA – Dasebre Oduro-Guranim I, the Paramount Chief of Dodo Traditional Area (Dodomanhene) in the Kadjebi District of the Oti Region, says his election to the National House of Chiefs is a significant elevation of his traditional area and a great honour for him as a Paramount Chief.
He said it was a historic moment for the Dodo Traditional Area, as it was the first time they had a representative elected to the National House of Chiefs.
“I see this as a significant recognition of our area’s contribution and a great honour for me as the Paramount Chief”, he said.
Dasebre Oduro-Guranim, said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Kadjebi.
The National House of Chiefs member-elect, said he intended to utilise the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Ghana’s Chieftaincy institution and leverage on knowledge gained to effectively govern and served his subjects well.
He said he would also utilise the position to advocate for development projects that benefited his traditional area and the Oti Region, ensuring that their communities received the resources and support they needed to thrive.
Dasebre Oduro-Guranim I, Dodomanhene, Nana Mprah Besemuna III, Krachiwura and Nana Odamba Tidibom Kowura II, Ntrubomanhene were on September 30, 2024, elected by the Oti Regional House of Chiefs to represent the House at the National House of Chiefs.
