Accra, Oct.14, GNA-Premier League champions Hasaacas Ladies slapped Army Ladies twice at the Ghanaman Soccer Center for Excellence on Saturday to win this year’s champion of champion’s title.
The Sekondi-based side, who previously held a poor record against the security side redeemed themselves this time round courtesy Comfort Owusu and Mercy Attobrah who sealed the victory with a goal each.
Army Ladies started the game as wounded lionesses who needed to win to survive.
However, the Hasmal ladies were resilient at the back and kept their lines clean with some impressive defensive play.
The security side was humbled right after Comfort broke the virginity of the game with a clinical finish in the 39th minute, leaving their goalkeeper in a state of confusion.
Army, a familiar foe on the battlefield continued to struggle as Hasaacas kept dominating the game minute after minute.
The champions extended their lead 74 minutes into the game after Attobrah latched onto a beautiful pass from the flanks to cement the win for her side.
The outcome of the match remained the same after 90 minutes with Hasaacas Ladies being crowned champions.
The match was a curtain raiser for the 2024/25 league season which starts on the weekend of October 18.
