Dr Bawumia assures residents of Sefwi-Wiawso of new district

Sefwi Asanwiaso (WN/R), Oct. 03, GNA – Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has assured the people of the Sefwi-Wiawso Constituency of plans to create a new district out of the Wiawso Municipality to fast track development of the area. 

He said the creation of a new district out of the current Wiawso Municipal Assembly would go a long way to ensure rapid infrastructural development within Asafo and Sefwi Asanwiaso enclave. 

Speaking at separate durbars organised during his campaign tour of the Western North Region, at Aowin, Juaboso, Bodi, Akontombra, Sefwi Wiawso, Bia West, Bia East and Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai constituencies, he said the NPP had performed exceptional and deserved another term to continue with the good works. 

Dr Bawumia, therefore, appealed to the people to retain the NPP government in power to continue the good policies and development projects ongoing in the country. 

He mentioned the introduction of Free Senior High School policy, One Constituency, One Ambulance, restoration of teacher trainees and nurses’ allowance, creation of six new regions, Ghana Card, Agenda 111, and cocoa pollination programme as some of promises delivered by the government. 

He said the next NPP government under his leadership would introduce Credit Score System, Loans for Women Empowerment, Free Tertiary Education for Persons with Disabilities (PWD’s). 

He also assured Ghanaians of 50% reduction in electricity bills with the construction of 2000 megawatts of solar energy to compliment the current power generation systems. 

Mr. Festus Bumagamah Agyepong, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for Sefwi Wiawso Constituency, urged the people to vote him as their Member of Parliament (MP) for area and Dr Bawumia as the next President to develop Ghana. 

At the various palaces, the chiefs expressed appreciation to Dr Bawumia for decent campaign and execution of various projects in the constituencies. 

They, however, requested the completion of ongoing major projects and creation of additional districts within the Region.
