Cairo, Oct 13 (BTA/GNA) – Bulgaria’s badminton player Stefani Stoeva won the women’s singles title at the 2024 edition of Egypt International tournament, part of the International Series, on Sunday.
In Cairo, the Bulgarian defeated number eight seed Yasmine Hamza of Italy 21-10, 22-20 in 31 minutes.
Stoeva dominated the first game and secured the win in the second, ultimately claiming the gold. She earned the title with five consecutive victories.
Bulgaria finished the competition with two medals. Gabriela Stoeva and Evgeni Panev took bronze in the mixed doubles event on Saturday.
“Third place for us in the mixed doubles. We are happy with the performance level we showed this week. There’s more to come… Thanks to our team and everyone who supported us,” Gabriela Stoeva wrote on Instagram.
