Ayeyi Impact Foundation launches ‘mentor her’ project in Nkwanta

Kpassa (O/ R), Oct 01, GNA – Ayeyi Impact Foundation, a non-governmental organisation based in Kpassa in the Nkwanta North District in Oti Region has launched ‘mentor her’ project in the area.  

The project focuses on sexual and reproductive health and right education, sensitization on teenage pregnancy, knowing your rights, and making informed decisions sensitization campaigns in both junior and senior schools within the district.  

Mr. Richard Tsekpokumah, the Founder of the Organisation said the initiative was dedicated to cultivating a culture of environmental protection, promoting respect for human rights and advocate for the education of the girl -child through education advocacy, skills training, and scholarship.  

He said the collaborative effort involved working with community stakeholders, NGOs, philanthropists, teachers, parents, students, and youth groups.  

Mr. Tsekpokumah also stated that the project aimed at empowering young girls to help them realised their abilities and aim higher for a better future.  

He said the organisation had implemented a clean-up project, where they worked with stakeholders to organize clean up exercise monthly in four communities.  

Mr. Tsekpokumah said they also implemented a waste management project aimed at solving climate issues by changing plastic bottles into pavement blocks and organic fertilizer. 

“Our vision is to foster a holistically safe and healthy community that prioritizes human rights, empowers teenage mothers and advocates for the education of girl children,” he said. 

Mr Tsekpokumah, however, called on other NGOs, philanthropists, government, and individuals to come and support the project by making their dream a reality.
