Assin Aworso (C/R), Oct. 24, GNA-Mr Stephen Kofi Baidoo, Parliamentary Candidate (PC) on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in the Assin South Constituency has organised free health screening for residents.

The exercise aimed at improving the overall well-being of the constituents in the various communities, was held at Assin Aworso.

It covered a range of tests, including malaria, blood pressure, diabetics, typhoid fever, dental and optical services, and health education many more.

Speaking to the residents before the screening, he said the exercise was an opportunity for them to be examined by medical doctors to help know their health status.

He therefore told residents to take the opportunity to be screened to avoid late diagnosis that would later have serious implications on their health.

The PC said, the people deserved quality healthcare services regardless of financial status and was of the view that the exercise demonstrated his commitment to bridging the healthcare gap and seeking the wellbeing of all.

He appealed to all to trust him and vote for him to become the next Member of Parliament (MP), for more developmental projects.

Dr Amadu Ahmadiyya, head of the medical team said, residents were very cooperative and therefore made the exercise easier.

He advised residents to periodically check their health status, eat well, exercise and have enough rest to ensure quality healthcare among the people.

Mr Kwesi Yeboah, a beneficiary, applauded the PC for the kind gesture and educated residents on the need to check their health status from time to time.
