Awaso (WN/R) Oct. 15, GNA – The Western North Regional Minister, Mr Richard Jojo Obeng, has asked the people of Bibiani to retain the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Bibiani, Mr Alfred Obeng Boateng, to continue his good works in the constituency.
He said the MP had performed better and that his track records gave him the edge over his opponents.
He was speaking at an NPP rally at Awaso ahead of the December 7 polls.
The Minister described Mr Boateng as one of the outstanding MP’s who had performed creditably in the Region through various development projects.
Mr Obeng highlighted the MP’s donation of three Pick-Up vehicles to Bibiani Divisional Police Command and other police stations in the Western North Region to combat crimes in those areas.
Others are the provision of 110KVA generator valued at GH¢120,000 to Bibiani Government Hospital, and a brand-new Nissan Pick-up vehicle for Western North Regional Co-ordinating Council, among others.
The Minister said: “Having served the region and his constituents, Mr Obeng Boateng deserves another term in Parliament to do more.”
The Western North Regional Chairman of New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Benjamin Armah, urged the party members to engage in decent campaign and refrain from unhealthy language that caused chaos.
He pleaded with the electorate to vote for Mr Alfred Obeng Boateng as their MP and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, as President to foster development of the constituency and country at large.
Mr Boateng implored the electorate to retain him as their MP to continue his good works to benefit the people.
