Ho, Sept. 19, GNA – Mr. Alex Kwaku Tetteh The president of Citizen Eye Ghana, a pressure group, has endorsed the digitalisation agenda of Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party.
In a press release following the Vice President’s recent visit to the United States of America, he touted Dr. Bawumia as a visionary with a clear focus on the development of Ghana and declared his decision to secure the support of the Organisation which has over 29,000 members, towards the Vice president’s presidential bid.
Dr. Bawumia says would ensure a strong digital regime when elected president and is presently championing the establishment of robust infrastructure including the Ghanacard, and Pan African Payment systems.
“After reading the policy document for the NPP, NDC and the other aspirants, I must say that Dr. Bawumia has shown intellectual superiority in his submission.”
“I was a bit skeptical about the whole credit card system, but if you see what is going on in the USA, you will be amazed. Everything is cashless, and people can easily afford necessities with a good credit score,” he said.
Mr. Tetteh encouraged all the members of Citizen Eye Ghana across to vote for Dr. Bawumia, noting his plans for agriculture which he said was novel and groundbreaking.
He lamented on the current state of some prominent poultry farms in Ghana, and urged the government to provide financial support for farms like BunTaa Farms, the biggest poultry farm in West Africa owned by Professor Kwame Gyan Esq.
“When you look at the poultry farms in Ghana, you can see that that sector needs massive investment and improvement. Everybody consumes poultry, so investing in this sector will make poultry products affordable”.
Mr Tetteh mentioned other policies of Dr. Bawumia, including his plans to invest in rice production to reduce the overbearing dependence on import.
Mr. Tetteh also is an executive of the Vehicle and Asset Dealers Association of Ghana (VADAG) also endorsed the Vice President’s proposed flat rate for imports.
“As the protocol officer for VADAG, I must say that my colleagues are happy about this policy, and we are willing to support Dr. Bawumia.”
The President of the Association further touched on peace in the upcoming elections, and said the role of the media remained paramount, and must therefore ensure fair reportage before, during and after.
He said media must deepen citizen education on the policy documents of all political parties, and called for direct policies to aid the media effectively deliver its duties.
Mr Alex Kwaku Tetteh would encourage the various presidential aspirants to make public potential appointees, saying it would help citizens better identify the best teams.
