Wa, Sept. 04, GNA-Pastor Evans Amponsah-Gyan, the district director of the Wa Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church, has appealed to Christians to constantly renew their spiritual life in God by reading the Bible.

The acting director was speaking in a weeklong programme at the 2024 Annual camp meeting of the Upper West Administrative Field Unit of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church, Ghana held in Wa.

Speaking on the theme: “I will Go: Chosen for Mission”, Pastor Gyan-Amponsah said the theme was a crucial invitation that call on all Christians to pledge their commitment to the mission with renewed dedication and participation in discipleship.

He said the church members should understand that God in his infinite wisdom had specifically chosen mankind to become disciples and responsible members of the church.

He reminded Christians to know that God had chosen them for a purpose, and they must be ready to go on a mission to fulfil the purpose for which they had been chosen.

He alluded that it was only the word of God that could guide humankind to a fruitful, successful, and peaceful life here on Earth, and make Christians worthy ambassadors of God’s mission.

He explained that spiritual renewal could help improve the individual’s relation with God and urged Christians to have time for the word of God to renew their attitudes in every area of life to impact society and win more souls for Christ.

Use the scriptures to renew and transform your lives so that you can be worthy ambassadors of Goodwill and peace in your communities, the nation, and the world.

Pastor Evans Amponsah-Gyan, also called on Christians to build strong family ties so that the devil will not use their family to destroy the church.

He explained that the devil uses the family to disintegrate the church and stressed the need for families to come together.
