Accra, Sept. 27, GNA – Dr Nii Amu Darko, the Independent Presidential Aspirant of the African Reform Movement (ARM) has launched his manifesto to govern with 25 sector ministries.
The 15-page manifesto is dubbed: “Ghana… Reimagined…: – The People’s Manifesto and the 10 Commandments.”
The 25 sector Ministries would be regrouped into five super ministries thus Economic Management, Social Services, Law and Order, International Affairs and National Integration, National Resources and Integrated Development for effective administration.
Dr Nii Amu Darko, addressing a news conference in Accra said the 10 commandments of the manifesto represented “Afremocracy” – a new framework of government, and a new state of economic federalism.
This would come with a new parliament with 32 members, a new Council of State “Sikamanshiamu” with a total of 50 members comprising 23 (national), 22 (states), and five (national traditional authority), and implementation of (Five R’s for Redemption) – Repair to the budget, Retrieval of stolen state assets, Reset, Reforms – in the first hundred days of ARM government.
The rest are the transformation of the country from third world to first world nation by prudently managing the nation’s tangible wealth of 20 per cent from natural wealth of three per cent and produced wealth of 17 per cent.
The intangible wealth of 80 per cent of rule of law – 45.6 per cent, education – 28.8 per cent and others – 5.6 per cent.
Dr Nii Darko said the ARM would use law and order to combat galamsey and flooding, which he described as “rural and urban terrorism” that must be ended.
He said the Movement would double the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) 200 per cent in five years and quadruple it to 400 per cent in eight years as the source of funding of the 10 commandments.
He said the funds to support the implementation of the 10 commandments would be generated through initiatives of education and tourism, alternative medicine, joseph phenomenon, reverse colonialism, treasury bills in dollars, export drive through MFAT, energy export, tax reforms, health tourism, flagstaff house for embassies, presidential jet for ECOWAS, and air transport hub for ECOWAS.
Dr Nii Darko said the Movement took inspiration from Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope,” and urged Ghanaians to vote for ARM. We can do it.”
