Accra, Aug. 22, GNA-The newly constructed 10,000-seater TnA Stadium in Tarkwa will host this year’s Champion of Champions clash between defending Ghana Premier League champions FC Samartex 1996 and 2024 FA Cup winners, Nsoatreman FC.
The game, scheduled for August 31, 2024, would additionally serve its purpose as a curtain-raiser for the 2024/25 season.
FC Samartex 1996 despite starting the season as underdogs defied the odds to emerge winners of the Ghana Premier League after staging an incredible campaign.
Elsewhere, Bono-based side, Nsoatreman FC also managed to triumph over their regional brothers, Bofoakwa Tano in the finals of the 2024 MTN FA Cup to win the title for the first time in the club’s history.
Both teams are currently flying Ghana’s flag high in the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup.
The match would also be an early indicator of the form and readiness of the two top-tier teams as they embark on their continental campaigns.
