Some 1,369 WASSCE candidates write first general core paper in Kadjebi District

Kadjebi (O/R), Aug 21, GNA – Some 1,369 candidates on Wednesday sat for the English Language Oral Paper, the first general core paper for the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in the Kadjebi District of the Oti Region. 

They include 1,102 candidates from the Kadjebi-Asato Senior High School (KASEC), 103 from Ahamansu Islamic Senior High School (AHISEC) and 164 candidates from Dodi-Papase Senior High Technical School (DOPASS). 

Engaging with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) during a visit to the KASEC Examination centre, Mr Christopher Agorkle,  Kadjebi District Exams Coordinator, said because it was the first  general paper, which all the candidates must write, they had to write in batches. 

He said the first batch of 300 candidates began their 45-minute paper at 0830hours and ended at 0915hours. 

It was an incident free paper, Ms Portia Opare, a candidate, said the paper was quite okay and hoped to get 45 out of the 60 questions. 

Master Osman Samed, a candidate, said the paper was good and hoped to secure 55 out of the 60 questions.
