Dzodze (V/R), Aug 25, GNA – Mama Agbalogui II, the newly crowned Paramount Queen Mother of the Dzodze Traditional Area, has pledged to focus on building and strengthening the human resources capacity of the Dzodze community through targeted skills development initiatives.

In her coronation speech delivered in Dzodze, in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta Region, Mama Agbalogui outlined her vision to work closely with women, the youth, and vulnerable population.

She emphasized that her goal is to empower these groups by equipping them with the necessary skills to improve their lives and contribute to the development of the community.

Mama Agbalogui underscored the importance of education, entrepreneurship, and community development as key pillars of her agenda.

She said by encouraging and supporting individuals to acquire skills in addition to formal education, the Dzodze Traditional Area could set itself apart and create opportunities for financial independence.

“Skills development paves the way to financial freedom,” she stated.

“It is also a crucial strategy for tackling the unemployment crisis that has deeply affected our nation and for preventing the various social vices that many unemployed youths fall into today.”

She called on well-meaning individuals, business entities, the media, and local government leaders to join her in this vital mission.

She emphasized that this endeavour is not only a social responsibility but also a divine duty to transform the Dzodze Traditional Area for the better.

“As I begin my tenure, I am filled with hope and enthusiasm,” Mama Agbalogui II said and added, “I look forward to collaborating with all stakeholders to address our challenges and capitalize on our strengths.”

The coronation of Mama Agbalogui II marks a historic moment for Dzodze, as the area had been without a Paramount Queen Mother for over 100 years.

The event was attended by the Paramount Chief and President of the Dzodze Traditional Council, Torgbui Dzoku V, as well as other chiefs, queen mothers from Dzodze and its environs, and distinguished individuals from the community.

Mama Agbalogui II’s commitment to human capacity building is seen as a beacon of hope for the future of Dzodze, and her leadership is expected to usher in a new era of growth and development for the traditional area.
