Nkwanta (O/R), Aug. 23, GNA – 1,069 candidates across the four Senior High Schools in the Nkwanta South Municipality are sitting for the West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) this year.
They include Nkwanta SHS, Nkwanta Community SHTS, Kyabobo Girls SHS, and Ntruboman SHS.
Nkwanta Senior High School, with the highest candidates, had 504 candidates for the exams.
Meanwhile, a total 550 female and 519 male candidates were registered.
Mr Jonathan Korsinah, the Municipal Education Director, together with some officials at the education office during their visit to the examination centre, expressed confidence in the candidates in the exams.
He also wished them success in the exams and urged them to put in their best and come out with flying colours as the exam was a milestone for them to pursue higher education.
Some candidates also promised not to disappoint their parents and the directorate.
