Gakli (VR), Aug 16, GNA – Mr John Dramani Mahama, Aspiring Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has asked Ghanaians not to see the upcoming December polls as normal but critical to the country’s forward march.
“I just want to remind you that this election is more critical than any other election and so, I need all of you – every single vote we can muster because this election is about our future not the normal NPP, NDC. It’s an election between Ghana and the NPP. It’s an election that will determine the future of our dear nation Ghana.”
The former President who made the remarks while addressing a durbar of people at Gakli-Aflao in Ketu South on day three of his campaign tour of the Volta Region said, there was the need for concerted efforts to change the government to change Ghana’s course for the better.
“We all have been in this country. From 2016 uptil date and we know what has happened. Our people say, we have carried water, and we have carried alcohol, and we know which of the two is heavier.
In 2016, we lived in Ghana. Things were not perfect but at least, they were far better than our lives today. Our country, instead of going forward, is going backwards. Life is hard for our people and the people are suffering.
It is time to make a change. It is time to change course. And the party that can turn Ghana’s fortunes around and I know that by the grace of God, on December 7, 2024, the NDC is going to win the election.”
