Kasoa (C/R), Aug. 7, GNA – The Assemblies of God Church Solid Foundation Temple in Kasoa Ofaakor has urged men to support their wives in undertaking domestic chores to ease them of stress.
Mrs. Anastasia Asamoah Antiri, wife of the Head Pastor, made the appeal during a cooking and indoor gaming programme, dubbed “Men Too Can Cook, and Indoor Games.”
The initiative aimed at raising awareness about the stress women endured in managing household responsibilities formed part of the church’s 25th-anniversary celebrations.
The event was also to promote gender equality and help reduce challenges of traditional gender stereotypes by encouraging men to take a more active role in the home.
She emphasised that men recognised the importance of sharing domestic chores, such as cooking, laundry, cleaning, childcare, and errands.
Women have shouldered the bulk of household responsibilities for far too long, Mrs. Antiri said, adding that with more women entering the workforce, it was time men stepped up and shared the workload.
She highlighted the benefits of men’s involvement in household chores, including stronger relationships, more stable families, reduced stress, and increased quality time together.
Vice President of the Men’s Fellowship, W/OI Charles Korley (Rtd), shared his experience and urged men to support their wives and work towards creating a more balanced and harmonious home life for the benefit of all.
