Sefwi Bodi (WN/R), Aug. 29, GNA – Mr William Benjamin Assuah, a former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Western North Regional Chairman, says the Flagbearer of the party, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has performed better as the Vice President and Ghanaians will give him the nod to become president come December 7.
He said this when he embarked on a campaign tour in the Kankyiabo, Kama, and Ahibenso electoral areas within the Sefwi Bodi Constituency.
During the interactions, Mr Assuah highlighted some of the developmental projects under the NPP’s leadership, emphasising their dedication to advancing the well-being of the citizenry.
He said the NPP government had executed several projects, including agenda 111, the establishment of the Western North Regional Health Directorate and bungalows, the construction of new facilities like the circuit court and judges’ bungalow, communication masts, as well as essential infrastructure like the Sefwi- Bodi to Ahibenso road and regional medical stores.
He stressed the importance of revitalizing Sefwi-Bodi politics to introduce fresh ideas for the constituency’s development.
He encouraged young people in the Sefwi-Bodi Constituency to rally behind Mr Nicholas Andoh and Dr Bawumia for them to implement policies that would create jobs in the digital space, entrepreneurship, and other skill development programmes for the teeming youth of the country.
Mr Assuah said: “You as young people of the constituency will not only secure better job prospects but also have a say in shaping a brighter future for yourselves as Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and the New Patriotic Party’s Manifesto seeks to address the pressing concerns for young people in Ghana.”
The former regional chairman urged party members to actively engage and promote the positive narratives of the party’s parliamentary candidate, Mr Nicholas Andoh, and the presidential candidate to garner more support to boost their chances in the elections.
He emphasized the critical need for unity within the party, calling for a cohesive front ahead of the December polls to secure victory and achieve the party’s goal of “breaking the eight.”
