By Elizabeth Larkwor Baah

Ada, Aug. 23, GNA-Ms. Sarah Dugbakie Pobee, the Ada-East District Chief Executive (DCE), has called on women in leadership to embrace and support each other.

Ms. Pobee said supporting each other would eliminate the biases at the workplace, politics, and home life, and help break down barriers and challenge stereotypes for future generations.

She told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview that the move would increase the number of women in leadership to create a more inclusive and equitable work environment for the advancement of all.

She added that the current increasing number of women in leadership was laudable, however, attitudes such as gossip, back-biting, and malice among others would not help create a safe space for younger women who want to rise beyond the norm.

The DCE called on young women in the Ada-East district to work towards getting into leadership positions and use their expertise to help develop the district and the nation at large.

She said raising each other up and channelling the power of collaboration was a sure means of changing the equation to create a more inclusive society for everyone, especially the youth.

Ms. Pobee, pledged to use her knowledge and experience to mentor more female youth in the district even if she goes out of office, and provide guidance to help build a strong network of young vibrant women who would be willing to take roles in all spheres of leadership for the betterment of the country.
