Ghana Publishing Company Limited Inaugurates Ashanti Regional Branch  

Accra, July 23, GNA -Ghana Publishing Company Limited, Ghana’s premier printing and publishing hub has inaugurated its Ashanti Regional branch to serve not only the Ashanti Region and its environs, but also the Northern part of the country.  

The ceremony, held at the new branch in Kumasi, was attended by scores of people from all walks of life, including the Minister for Public Enterprises, Mr Joseph Codjoe, the Minister responsible for Information, Fatimatu Abubakar, a representative of the State Interest and Governance Authority (SIGA), and a representative of the Regional Police Command. 

Addressing the gathering, Mr Joseph Codjoe. who is also as the chairperson of the occasion, applauded the board and management of GPCL for the bold and audacious initiative to expand the frontiers of the company beyond the capital.  

He re-emphasized the core mandate of his ministry to ensure that all state enterprises are equipped, and given the needed resources to reach their maximum potential.    

He pledged his ministry’s commitment to ensure that Ghana Publishing Company Limited had a presence in every region of the country. 

The Managing Director, Mr. David Boateng Asante on the other hand, took the gathering through the journey to the Ashanti Regional Branch, and the vision of the Board and management to ensure Ghana Publishing is in every region of the country.  

“We have ambitious plans to expand our presence to other regions, specifically the Northern regions in the near future’’ he emphasized.   

He expressed his deepest appreciation to the Government of Ghana, the sector minister, Board, management and staff of Ghana Publishing Company Limited for their efforts in making this initiative a reality. 

Addressing the gathering, the Minister of Information, Honorable Fatimatu Abubakar reiterated the journey of Ghana Publishing Company Limited from its early days and its transformation until date.  

‘Ladies and Gentlemen, the story of GPCL’s resurgence is one of resilience, strategic vision and exceptional management. It is heartwarming to note that GPCL has emerged as one of the most viable institutions consistently reporting profits over the last two years’’ she said.
