Ehi (V/R), July 21, GNA – Torgbui Dzeble Adukpo IV, the ‘Dufia’ of Ehi and Senior Divisional Chief of the Weta Traditional Council has urged the indigenes of Ehi living abroad to return home and create opportunities for the less privileged.

He emphasised the importance of collective efforts, stating that everyone must rally for their shared hopes to shine bright.

He made these remarks on Saturday at the launch of this year’s ‘Ehi Nutome Gali Za’ at Ehi Adelakoekorfe in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta Region.

“There is no need to fight for oneself but for future generations. Let us rally not just for ourselves, but for our future generations. Let us rally with determination and compassion,” he added.

Torgbui Adukpo further called on community members, embers of the modern community governance system, champions of civil society, and concerned citizens, to add their voices.

“Your actions matter to the chiefs, the leaders, and your people.”

The festival, celebrated annually, is an agro-based event for the chiefs and people of Ehi to mark the production of ‘gari’ a premium staple food in the West African Sub-Region.

The launch was attended by Chiefs and people from Ehi and beyond, as we as members of the Weta Traditional Council.

This year’s celebrations would be on the theme, “Rally For Development.”
