By Daniel Agbesi Latsu,

Kadjebi (O/R), Dec 29, GNA – Alhaji Rasheed Ibrahim, the Assemblyman-elect for Poase-Cement Electoral Area in the Kadjebi District of the Oti Region, has promised development projects in the area during his four-year term in office.

He said the community had expanded thus, needing more developmental projects.

Alhaji Rasheed, who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview, said electricity would be extended to new sites and more mechanised boreholes drilled with support from benevolent organisations to solve water challenges confronting the community.

He said the Poase-Cement market sheds would also be attended to give comfort to market women, buyers, and sellers, who had to close their business transactions anytime the clouds gathered.

Alhaji Rasheed, who is also the Kadjebi District Director of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), told GNA that the Agency had started connecting youth to permanent works, especially the current YEA recruits and the Kadjebi Office of the Agency for instance had enrolled seven Community Policing Assistants onto advanced Police training to enable them to acquire the professional Police training.

The District Director said some of the Community Nursing Assistants were also called into the main Nurses Training colleges for them to be trained as professional nurses.

He said some of the youths would also be enrolled into handworks, artisans, and traditional modules such as Police, health, and community teaching Assistants.
