Beirut, Oct 10, (dpa/GNA) – The pro-Iranian Hezbollah movement, claimed on Tuesday it hit an Israeli tank, after Israeli troops shelled some of its observation points in southern Lebanon.
“In response to the Israeli attacks that targeted a number of observation points belonging to the Islamic Resistance [Hezbollah], this evening, our strugglers targeted an Israeli tank … with two guided missiles,” a statement by the group said.
The group claimed the tank was hit and completely destroyed.
They added that the tank was hit in the area of Avivim, an area near the Israeli-Lebanese border.
Earlier, the Israeli Army posted on the social platofrm X, formerly Twitter that, “in response to the rockets launched from Lebanon at Israel a short while ago, IDF tanks struck two observation posts belonging to Hezbollah.”
It was not immediately clear who fired first.
