Sofia, Dec 20 (BTA/GNA) – The Bulgarian Air Traffic Services Authority (BULATSA) Tuesday presented its new free flight information portal, BULATSA – Flight Information Portal. It gathers all the necessary aeronautical information and users can find what they need quickly, easily and interactively.
The portal gathers in one place information about air traffic in real time, including detailed information about a specific flight, weather information, airspace use plan, and active structures in the airspace. Transport and Communications Minister Hristo Aleksiev attended the presentation.
The information portal has no analogue worldwide and is certain to increase safety, Aleksiev said, commending the management for the effort.
“This is one of the most significant projects implemented by BULATSA this year, through which we want to improve communication with users and strengthen our efforts to maintain safety in the air traffic services,” BULATSA Director General Georgi Peev said.
The new service was developed by using responsive design, which allows identical use regardless of the device (phone, tablet or computer). Next year BULATSA will continue working to add new functionalities and information to the portal.
