Bulgaria’s Caretaker PM Donev Assures EC President von der Leyen of Cabinet’s Firm Commitment to National Recovery and Resilience Plan Implementation 

Sofia, Dec 23 (BTA/GNA) – In a letter to European Commission (EC) President Ursula von der Leyen, caretaker Prime Minister Galab Donev thanks the EC President for her high assessment of the quality of the Bulgarian National Recovery and Resilience Plan and the progress on its implementation, the Bulgarian Government’s information service reported here on Friday.

Donev extends his and his Cabinet’s gratitude in response to von der Leyen’s letter from last week, in which she welcomed the Bulgarian Government’s first steps in implementing the National Plan and informed of the payment of the first EUR 1.37 billion transfer to Bulgaria.

In his letter to the EC President, the Bulgarian Government leader notes the consistent efforts of his caretaker Cabinet and the focus on implementing the next goals, including important steps concerning the rule of law, the fight against corruption, energy efficiency, investments, among others. Galab Donev confirms the Bulgarian Government’s firm commitment to continue implementing the National Plan.
