10th National Delegates Congress of the NDC underway in Accra

Accra, Dec. 17, GNA – Former President John Dramani Mahama, National Democratic Congress (NDC) party bigwigs, delegates and supporters of the party have gathered at the Accra Sports Stadium, Saturday, December 17, for the party’s 10th National Delegates Congress to elect national executive officers.

The atmosphere at the congress grounds is already charged as supporters of the candidates could be seen singing and dancing to Jama songs as they display the placards of their favourite candidates.

The congress venue has been inundated with NDC party colours, billboards and posters of aspirants vying for various executive positions in the party.

The candidates have mounted billboards at vantage points to catch the attention of party delegates who would decide their fate.

Some notable inscriptions are “Two sure”, “C4C”, “Big on the ballot, Asie ho among others.
Besides, personnel of the Ghana Police Service have mounted barricades in and around the sports stadium to ensure incident free congress.

Also, more than 60 candidates are expected to contest for different national positions, as a total of 8,964 delegates across the country are expected to attend the programme at the Accra Sports Stadium.
