Veliko, Tarnovo, Nov 29, (BTA/GNA) – President Rumen Radev launched Tuesday the 20th anniversary edition of the charity initiative “Bulgarian Christmas” in Veliko Tarnovo, announcing that this year’s campaign will be dedicated to children with rare genetic diseases.
“Bulgarian Christmas is not just a donation campaign, it is much more. It gives us faith that we are a civilized society that is based on humane values,” the head of State said at the ceremony.
“I am particularly pleased with the fact that thanks to this initiative more and more Bulgarian doctors are working with modern, high-tech equipment and expanding their opportunities to apply modern and innovative methods for diagnosis and treatment,” Radev said, adding that seeing once again a Bulgarian hospital with an extremely close-knit and dedicated team, he is convinced of the future of this initiative and of Bulgarian children’s healthcare.
