Accra, Nov. 30, GNA - Ghanaian rapper Armstrong Affum, popularly known as Opanka has received a Hiplife honour at the recently held Ghana Lifetime Achievement and Distinguished Awards (GLADA) USA.
Opanka was recognised as one of the top Twi rappers in Ghana at the awards gala, which was held at the Holiday Inn Express in Virginia, USA.
Speaking in an interview after receiving the award, Opanka expressed his delight with the recognition from the organisers and appreciated his fans for their support over the years.
“I want to dedicate the award to my fan base, Opanka Army, and I am very delighted with this recognition.
“I believe I have contributed to the music industry and continue to do my best in churning more good songs and I will continue to thrive in Ghanaian music with my talent,” he said.
The awards gala organised by 2Geez Entertainment LLC in collaboration with the Musicians Union of Ghana witnessed the likes of Ben Brako, Nana Fynn, Ex-Doe, Abrewaa Nana, Kofi Nti, Screwfaze, and Akatakyie all receiving honours.
