Tamale, Nov. 12, GNA – AMPATH GHANA donated PPEs worth $ 3.million to Tamale Teaching Hospital to enhance staff protection from pandemics cases.
The items were 8,700 face shields, 31,920 pieces of gloves, and 11, 840 U95.
Professor Rajesh Vedanthan, a Director of Section for Global Health Association and also a Member of AMPATH GHANA who presented the items on behalf of the organization said the donation was partner’s with Cal Bank, New York City Department of Administrative Service, UDS, NYC DCAS and Ghana Health Service to promote quality health care delivery in the Northern Sector.
He said the items were to protect health workers during pandemic situation in the region.
Mr Iddrusu A. Tanko, the Deputy Director of Administrative at Tamale Teaching Hospital who received the items on behalf of the hospital management expressed his gratitude to the donates for their kind gesture.
He said the items would go along way to help the Medical Staffs during the quality service delivery and also enhance effective healthcare delivery in the Northern sector.
Mrs Vincentia Amanor, a Brand Manager of Cal Bank also urged the Health personnel’s to support government to promote quality health care delivery in the region.
