Kojokrom (W/R), Aug. 26, GNA – Alhaji Fuseini Ali, the Imam at the Kojokrom Central Mosque in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis, has appealed to faith-based organisations, non-governmental organisations and philanthropists to support the reconstruction of the mosque.
He said the dilapidated nature of the building had necessitated the reconstruction of an ultra-modern one “befitting a salat to Allah.”
Alhaji Fuseini said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Kojokrom, during a visit to ascertain the preparedness of the Muslim Community to welcome the National Chief Iman, Sheik Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, to the Nzema area, his land of birth, on December 03.
The Imam said the situation had compelled Muslims, who prayed at the Central Mosque, to offer their salat at the temporal mosque of Sabo Zongo at Kojokrom.
He assured the Nzema Community of the measures being put in place to ensure a smooth “homecoming for the National Chief Iman.”
