Albena Resort, On the Black Sea, Aug 19 (BTA/GNA) – Kites will fly over Via Pontica in the skies of the Albena Resort during one of the stops of the tenth Kite Festival “Via Pontica – Flying with the Birds” on August 31 and September 1, the resort said.

The kite fest will bring together kite artists from Bulgaria, the UK, the Netherlands, Austria, South Africa, Estonia, Greece and Turkey.

During the free ride, kite clubs will present kites in the shape of three dimensional models of tigers, octopuses, bears, ladybugs, birds, fishes and other animals, said festival organizer Yuri Georgiev, quoted by the press centre of the resort.

A fashion show by designer Mira Bachvarova will be among the highlights. Models will be riding horses against the backdrop of the sea.

On the two festival days events are scheduled between 10 am and 5 pm on the beach in front of Boryana Hotel.

The kite fest will open in Sinemorets on August 20-21 and end in Shabla on September 3 and 4.
