Accra, Aug. 30, GNA – The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is almost through with securing ownership of the land used to establish the Ghanaman Soccer of Excellence located at Prampram.

At the 28th Ordinary Congress held at Prampram, the GFA President, Mr Kurt Okraku explained that the Association were not the owners of the land until recently when he started negotiations to acquire documents to have full possession.

He said, part payment of the land had been made and projects would commence soon to give the property a major facelift.

Per agreement with betPawa as headline sponsor of the Ghana Premier League, a pitch would be constructed at the facility and a borehole via the FIFA grant.

The 62-acre land facility was first acquired in 2002 by former Minister Enoch Teye Mensah and former chairman of the GFA, late Ben Koufie. It houses the junior national teams as well as the Technical and administrative programs of the football body.

The facility currently has four dormitories, one administrative block, one big dining hall, and four football pitches, one Astro turf, beach soccer pitch and one dressing room.
