Continue to serve with integrity – Military urged

Accra, Aug. 14, GNA – The Very Reverend Commander Ferdinand Hope Gbewonyo (Retired), a Former Moderator of the Global Evangelical Church, has urged service men and women to continue to serve with integrity. 

“I will encourage you all to build your integrity, because it is only with integrity that you can go far in your profession,” he said. 

Reverend Gbewonyo said this at a Senior Command and Staff Course 43 and Masters of Defense and International Politics class of 2022 graduation religious parade. 

The religious parade was held ahead of the main  graduation on August 19, 2022. 

The Reverend stressed that service to nation and mankind was service to God, saying, they needed to serve the country as they would do for their Creator. 

“Let’s, therefore, resolve in all situations and circumstances to serve our nation, family with integrity,” he added. 

He urged the graduates to continue to hold on to what was right always, regardless of their circumstances. 

Lieutenant Colonel Najmu-Den Agbiere Mohammed, Imam at the College, admonished the graduates to always listen to their conscience, stressing that, it would enable them differentiate between what was right and wrong. 

 “God communicates with us through our conscience, so it is very important to be conscious of whatever you do.” 

Vice Admiral Seth Amoama, Chief of the Defence Staff, entreated the graduates to enhance their output with the knowledge they had acquired. 

He said they had been equipped with the requisite knowledge to advance their service to the country and its people. 

A total of 125 persons are expected to graduate on August 19, 2022; with 40 graduating in the Masters of Science in Defence and International Politics and 85 in Senior Command and Staff Course 43.
