Kazanlak, Central Bulgaria, Aug. 24 (BTA/GNA) – Within this year’s edition of Holidays in the Valley of the Thracian Kings, Kazanlak Municipality organizes a three-day wine exhibition with the participation of wineries from across Bulgaria.
The Holidays of Thracian Wine and Wine Culture exhibition will take place in front of the Thracian tomb in Kazanlak’s Tyulbeto Park from Friday August 26, to Sunday, 28.
The guests of the exhibition will be able to taste and purchase the best Bulgarian wines presented by wine makers well-established both on the local and the international markets.
As far back as in the times of the Thracians, the main trade in the region was related to the sale of vines and wines, and the recipes were passed down from one generation to the next, Kazanlak Municipality said.
The Thracian Valley is one of the largest wine regions of Bulgaria.
It is located along Bulgaria’s border with Greece and Turkey.
In 2017, Wine Enthusiast Magazine voted the Thracian Valley the second-best wine destination in Europe.
