Tema, July 24, GNA – Reverend Godson Gbloe, the Second Vice Chairman of the Great Commission Church International (GCCI) Ghana, has urged men to be alive to the responsibilities of their families.
Speaking at the climax of the GCCI Maranatha Assembly Men’s Ministry Week Celebration in Tema, Rev Gbloe also urged men to sacrifice for the growth and stability of their families.
Touching on the theme of the Celebration, dubbed, “Imitating Christ as Head of the Family,” Rev Gbloe said imitating Christ was an attitude that Christians must build into themselves.
He said in imitating Christ, the woman must submit to her husband, stating that, “what the man wants from his wife is respect.”
He reiterated that when a woman respects her husband, he would provide her with whatever she needs.
He said in imitating Christ, Christians must take inspiration and instruction from God’s word.
The Vice Chairman, who urged children to be obedient to their parents, said godly children were obedient to their parents.
Quoting from the Bible, Rev Gbloe said: “Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.”
He advised both boys and girls to take their household chores seriously.
Rev Gbloe advised children to seek the blessings of their parents while they were still alive, adding that, this would enable them to prosper in life.
