Nkyenenkyene – Amanfro (E/R) June 14, GNA – Mr Isaac Kwadwo Buabeng, the Municipal Chief Executive for Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality, has advised farmers to stop the cutting of trees around river banks and on hills.
Mr Isaac Kwadwo Buabeng said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency after touring some schools and communities, where about 54,000 seedlings were planted as part of the Government Green Ghana.
Some of the communities included NkyeneNkyene Amanfro Basic School, Kwakyekrom M/A School, Bowkrom M/A School, Dego M/A School, Pakro M/A School, Okobeyeyie M/A and others.
Others are Bishop Atto M/A School, Sakyi Agyakwah M/A School, Fire Service, Panpanso No.1 M/A School, Adoagyiri Presby Primary, Adoagyiri Methodist Primary, Asante Akuraa M/A School and others.
Mr Isaac Kwadwo mentioned some of the trees as mahogany, timber trees, orange, coconut, mangoes, cashew nut trees and others, which he said would give shade in school and would also beautify the environment and give protection from rainstorms.
